Wobbly Leadership.

So apparently Dubya handles a bike about as well as he handles a Segway (or the nation)…poorly. Well, at least one benefit of this nasty scrape for the viewing public is that, when Bush addresses the nation on Iraq tonight, you’ll literally get to see the blood on his hands.

  1. Kev, I need a historian’s perspective here. Has any president in our history worked less than the Dubya? Is it just me, or does he always seem to be recreating? Call me no fun, but I kinda expect the leader of the free world to suck it up for four years, and you know, like, work on weekends or something.

  2. This, the pretzel, and many more incidents indicate that Bush is not only a bad president, but also a complete spaz. — This reminds me, I just bought a shirt that says “Republicans for Voldemort”. I haven’t worn it to school yet, but I don’t think it’ll go over too well. Heh.

  3. I’m not sure of the exact numbers, but I know that Dubya broke the record for presidential vacation time in a single year in 2001, and had already taken more vacation time by 2003 than Clinton had during both terms.

Wait…after further digging, he’s apparently spent 40% of the time out of office. Sure beats two weeks, don’t it?

  4. Well, not to defend the guy, but how much of his job really requires him to be at his desk in the Oval Office? I also recall that his Dad was really big about fishing and golf trips and downtime in Kennebunkport.
