I’m tremendously excited about this! I read the novel when I was 13, and loved it. A year later, the film came out, and I remember my reaction being something like, “God, what a piece of crap.” Singer’s perfect for this, and it he adapts the novel as it deserves to be adapted, this could be one hell of a movie.
