Several people have told me that my sister Gill is featured prominently in an off-line New Yorker article about recent advances (and controversies) in ballet shoe technology. I haven’t read it yet, but thought I’d drop a note here anyway.

Yeah! I was just reading the article and came across her name, did a double take, and then raced to my computer to check out your weblog to confirm that it was your sister. The history of ballet shoes (and controversy related to new technology) is way more interesting than I ever realized…
