According to Latino Review, Barbershop‘s Tim Story will be directing The Fantastic Four in place of Bring it On‘s Peyton Reed. Interesting…I haven’t seen any of his movies, so I can’t really comment on the pick. Also, current casting rumors have Michael Chiklis as Ben Grimm/The Thing (I like it) and Tim Robbins as Dr. Doom.(Hmmm…he’d make a better Reed Richards.)

Whoa. I really hope that’s a mixed signal on Tim Robbins’ casting, because he’d be a pretty good Reed and a TERRIBLE Doom. Robbins’ ham-it-up setting is not a pleasant thing to see…
And I kind of hated BARBERSHOP, but at the risk of putting my foot in something messy, I’m gonna hazard a guess and say I wasn’t really in the target audience. Ice Cube probably hated RUSHMORE, so it’s all good.
