Is the Bush White House hoping for heavy GOP losses in 2002? Somehow, I doubt it…the last thing he’d want to see is a Democratic House looking more carefully into subjects such as Enron, Halliburton, and Harken.

It’s all about protecting Bush from a loss in November which would seem to make him out to be a loser. In 1994, the media and the Republicans made the loss of Congress out to be a response to Clinton’s and the Democrats “failures.” Now, in 2002, with the same kind of situation, only reversed, possible the media and the Republicans are trying to inoculate any damage to Bush beforehand, so he still comes out on top regardless. Total hipocrisy.
