This was truly a weak article. It failed to mention Molly Ivins (who was also part of the O’Reilly/Franken muss-up) and, rather remarkably, it ignored the pranksterism of Michael Moore (a draw apparently more important to the American public than the truth). And then there’s the troubling exclusion of Alan Alda, who was probably more key than anyone in perpetuating the “sensitive liberal” image that conservatives have responded to with accessible aggression.
