Green Hulk Down.

AICN points the way to the new Hulk trailer, and all the computer crunch time since the last one has significantly improved the look of the big green guy in question. He still looks a bit off, sure, but nowhere near as cartoony as before. I suspect X2 and The Matrix movies will make a bigger splash this summer, but Ang Lee hasn’t lost my trust yet.

To me, my X-Men.

Probably the biggest thrill of the Daredevil experience, the X2 trailer is now online. I’m not sure how they’re going to introduce all these characters enough for a layperson’s liking, but it looks like great fun for fans of the comic. Update: Faster than a Wolverine-Colossus fastball special and brighter than a Dazzler stage show, it’s now officially online in Quicktime.

Trailer Day.

A veritable plethora of fanboy/girl trailers have hit the web in the past few days. For one, “The Second Renaissance,” the first episode of the Animatrix, has been posted. It’s probably better than almost all of T3. Also, AICN points the way to an extended Hulk trailer and our first look at The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (The site’s down a lot, but you might get lucky…I did.) The latter looks a bit disappointing, but my hopes for LXG are at Daredevil levels right now anyway (although DD is actually getting surprisingly good reviews.) Update: The LXG trailer is now available here.

Blind Justice.

The newest trailer for Daredevil is now online and, while it’s better than the last one, it still doesn’t quite work for me. Michael Clarke Duncan and Colin Farrell seem like they’re going to have fun chewing the scenery, and Jennifer Garner is obviously easy on the eyes, but Ben Affleck still seems grossly miscast in the lead. Matt Damon would probably have worked better, and Guy Pearce would have been dream casting. Ah, well, there’s still Ang Lee’s The Hulk.

Insurrection.

I’m looking forward to Gods and Generals in spite of this lame new trailer, which not only suffers from a lousy tagline but also covers all the “Southern heritage” bases, from Robert E. Lee exalting Virginia to a glimpse of the battle flag in action. (Trent Lott would be proud.) Well, if nothing else, I’m sure the new Bob Dylan song will be good.

A new power is rising.

Treebeard! Gollum! Balrog! Oliphaunt! Wargs! The Two Towers trailer has arrived, and it looks absolutely amazing…It’s a thing of beauty, and the Requiem for a Dream theme fits nicely too. I’m not sure how I feel yet about what PJ’s doing with Elrond (And where are he and Aragorn having this discussion?), but he’s earned my trust thus far. Update: Take it frame-by-frame.
