AICN gets their hands on the first pic of Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler in X-Men 2. Looks a bit goofy, I suppose, but there’s no real way of telling until we see him move.

The Last Binge Continues.

Six weeks before McCain-Feingold is enacted, Republicans and Democrats are begging for money like it’s going out of style.

Hey, wait a minute…

“The result of our attack [on Saddam] would be his using the very weapons we are trying to deter.” TNR profiles Senator Carl Levin, a lonely Democratic voice in the battle over Iraq.

Assist to Dollar Bill?

According to several sources, Torricelli has dropped out of the New Jersey race, complicating a Senate situation already fraught with peril for the Democrats. Could this pave the way for Bill Bradley‘s return to the political scene? Let’s hope so. To be honest, even Lautenberg, who’s pretty mediocre, would be an improvement over the Torch. Update: He’s officially out…no word yet on who’s in.

Here we go again.

Consider this the first Knicks-griping post of the 2002-03 season. Said season hasn’t even started yet, of course, and we’ve already lost Sprewell for six weeks. Bleah. Update: And it’s already getting worse. Apparently Kurt Thomas has been arrested for hitting his wife. Bleah Bleah.

A new power is rising.

Treebeard! Gollum! Balrog! Oliphaunt! Wargs! The Two Towers trailer has arrived, and it looks absolutely amazing…It’s a thing of beauty, and the Requiem for a Dream theme fits nicely too. I’m not sure how I feel yet about what PJ’s doing with Elrond (And where are he and Aragorn having this discussion?), but he’s earned my trust thus far. Update: Take it frame-by-frame.

Tough Times at the South Pole.

Hey, she needed the stones. (Via Webgoddess.)

Six Days

until the next TTT trailer. Hopefully I’ll be able to get this on Kazaa that day and not have to resort to scavenging the huge pile of “700 free hours” AOL CD’s in the lobby.

Gambling man.

The good doctor returns for another NFL season. Not a very good effort this time around, but with HsT, you never know.
