If it ain't Breaux...

The Dems lose another Senate Southerner with the impending retirement of John Breaux (D-LA). (He joins Edwards, Graham, Hollings, and Zell on the way out.) Dems have done decently well in Louisiana of late, but you have to think that this is ripe territory for a GOP pickup. And that's just trouble.

With the economy picking up and Saddam caught. It is looking a little bleak for you lefties. Maybe the Grand Old Party can pick up 60 seats in the Senate and do away with obstructionist Dashell. We can only hope;-)

Yeah, well, I'm not too concerned about it. 11 months is a lifetime in presidential politics.
