Celtic Pride.

Looks like the gamble paid off. In an auspicious sign for all the cellar-dwelling teams out there looking to turn it around in one year, the Boston Celtics completely eviscerate the Lakers 131-92 in Game 6, clinching their seventeenth championship (and first for likable superstars KG, Allen, and Pierce.) Congrats to the Celts and to the Boston fans (Well, some of 'em)...and New York, take a gander. The draft is a little over a week away...

Wow, what a game! I'm so happy for the Celtics players, especially PP, KG, and RA.
And I can't believe I got to see it in person.

did you see Garnett's postgame interview? Best ever. He started with the UnderArmor/excess testosterone style: "Anything is Possible!" (leaning head back and screaming): "ANYTHING IS POSSSSSSIIIIIBBBBLLLLEEEEEEE!!!!!"

Then some incoherent babbling, followed by about 30 seconds straight of ghetto shout outs, then "Michelle, you look good tonight, girl," then some more yelling and giving props to his mom.

I've never felt so entertained and uncomfortable at the same time. I suppose it's not surprising considering how much tension KG builds up inside during the season...

Yeah, I was watching (and Slate has the snarky play-by-play.) They're right about one thing -- no one but KG could've pulled that soliloquy off.
