Losing Ugly.

As I noted last night, the delegate math would now appear to be out of reach for Sen. Clinton. But, from setting up an anti-Obama 527 to launching a new website aimed at changing the rules to the candidate's "new" "time to get real" speech, the Clinton campaign looks to go down swinging. In related news, John McCain says pass the popcorn. Update: That 527 has its first ad ready to go in Ohio.

You'd think at this point they'd realize that all the attack stuff is backfiring. Also, note to Hillary and McCain: "experience" is not selling this horse. As (I believe) Frank Rich said, two of the most experienced politicians in Washington are Cheney and Rumsfeld.

If they want to throw away their millions on that, they can be my guest. That spot is utterly lame in every sense of the word. That's all they've got? Really? The problem is still that HRC's campaign has never had any sort of narrative or raison d'etre besides its own inevitability. Why the hell does she want to be president? Nobody knows, least of all her campaign. One great thing is that Obama is going to have this exact same advantage against McCain. Why the hell is McCain running? Because it's finally his turn. Bah. Good luck with that.

I hear ya, J. Speaking as a lowly, ramen-eating graduate student, I can think of much sounder ways to throw away $100,000 contributions than wasting them on Sen. Clinton's clearly losing effort.

I see no joy
I see only sorrow
I see no chance of your bright new tomorrow
So stand down Hillary
Stand down please
Stand down Hillary
