I always thought that "Calvert DeForest" was an even odder name than "Bud Melman."
Hm.. it looks like NewsDay has a whole "Letterman Tribute" prepared for when Letterman himself kicks the bucket, items that they put up with this story.
The sidebars say:
"Video: Fans pay tribute to Letterman" and
"Photo Gallery: Slideshow - David Letterman through the years"
Both of the items are illustrated with kind of wistful and sad "obituary type" pictures. Creepy, really...
Oops. That is creepy. I bet they threw some of that together during his emergency heart surgery several years back.
