Weird. Weird, weird, weird.
I wonder if it's the fact that it's a maiden name, or just a middle name? That is, would something like "Jane Elizabeth Doe" poll differently than "Jane Smith Doe"? Would each poll better than "Jane Doe" - or is this something peculiar to Hillary?
I just find it weird. But maybe it's related to the reason my mother always said she wanted me to use my middle initial on books and papers that I write... Heh.
And will it help TheNamesake later on who has TWO middle names? Teehee...
Yeah, good question. Perhaps a middle/maiden name just seems a symbol of states(wo)manship, a la Henry Cabot Lodge or William Howard Taft. I knew there was a reason I used my middle initial...
