Vice Squad.
Michael Mann returns to the well with this new trailer for Miami Vice, with Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx as Crockett & Tubbs, and Gong Li, Ciaran Hinds, and Justin Theroux as back-up. I don't know why this needed to be made -- it looks a lot like Michael Bay's Bad Boys 2, which I didn't see. But if it's Michael Mann, I'll likely take a gander. Well, it was only a matter of time. I grew up with Miami Vice. In fact, I spent my senior prom watching one of the better episodes (Willie Nelson as a Texas Ranger), after I got stood up by a Swedish foreign exchange student. As you can imagine, Miami Vice holds a special place in my heart. I did, in fact, own a white blazer. I owned mirror sunglasses. I owned hirachi sandals, and yes, I owned a whole lot of hair gel.
That's likely a good comparison, Kevin, Bad Boys 2. Still, that was just another action flick. This -- well, I may have to hunt around for my brand of hair gel.
I happened to notice a Pirates of the Carribean Two is ready to roll, followed in 2007 by a PotC 3. Of course. Can we expect comment on this development (of which I'm sure we're all vaguely skeptical) from GitM?

Arrr, indeed, matey. I posted the teaser for Dead Man's Chest here and right now it looks to be as much mindless summery fun as the first one. I particularly like Johnny Depp staring at his hand, the big New World map, and the calamari-like look of Davy Jones.
I would rather see a Mike Myers interpretation of the old Hawaii Five O show
